In May 2012, Colin Saravanamuttoo succeeded John Leu as chief executive officer and president of the Canadian Ski Patrol. Colin comes to the CSP from senior positions with Canadian Medical Association (CMA) companies, Cognos Inc. (now part of IBM) and most recently as a senior communication and strategy consultant. He brings with him a diverse background managing corporate strategy and business services, and has spent considerable time in the not-for-profit sector while at the CMA.
An engineer by education, Colin has strong communications and marketing credentials along with fluency in English, French and Japanese. As a senior executive, Colin has had significant experience working with both stakeholders and boards of directors and has held leadership roles in major change-management projects. He is a passionate skier and has on occasion required the services of members of the CSP. Colin is also active as a volunteer.
